While each organization within the Collective operates completely independently, we thrive because we help each other succeed. By sharing knowledge, maintaining the highest standards of husbandry, and supporting each other's distinct visions, our unified community ensures that you have access to top-tier genetics, expert advice, and an unparalleled selection of healthy, captive-bred animals.

Where it all began! Ron McClure is the brand owner and visionary behind Beasties, which was affectionately named after his beloved dog, Beast (who you can see pictured right here!). While he breeds an incredible array of unique colubrid and python morphs, boas remain his absolute true love. Beyond his world-class breeding projects, Ron is the mentor and organizing force for the Collective, constantly collaborating with breeders across the globe to elevate the hobby. When he isn't busy sharing his expertise with our independent organizations, he is usually taking care of his family, mowing his lawn, or dedicating his time to helping non-profits right here in Pueblo.

The heart of our daily retail operations! Eight Legged Obsession, run by Sarah, Johnathan, and their kids, manages the day-to-day magic at the Beasties storefront. When visitors walk through our doors, it is their family they will see working hard to keep the shop thriving. While Beasties brand founder Ron is still at the store every day sharing his expertise and mentorship, Sarah and Johnathan ensure every visitor has an incredible experience. Beyond running the storefront, they are a premier destination for all things invertebrate, bringing exceptional independent care and fascination to the hobby. They're also the ones behind all those amazing 3D prints in the store and at expos!

Jurassic Joe’s

The future of the hobby! Jurassic Joe's is the lifelong dream brand of Joseph Serna, the eldest son of Eight Legged Obsession's Sarah and Johnathan. Driven by a serious passion for reptiles and tarantulas, Joseph is already making his mark in the Collective as a dedicated young keeper and aspiring breeder. He is currently working on an incredible Dark Knight leopard gecko project and raising up some stunning juvenile ball pythons (het sunset with various incomplete dominant genes) for future breeding. Perfectly living up to the "Jurassic" name, he is also the mastermind behind the incredible 3D-printed dinosaurs around the store and at expos, ranging from 6 inches all the way up to a HUGE 6 feet tall! When he isn't busy building his brand, he might be trying to convince his parents to let him take home one of the store's wedgehead dwarf caimans! We are incredibly proud to support Joseph's journey.

Lot Lizard Ranch

A premium, local breeder dedicated to producing top-quality reptiles. Lot Lizard Ranch operates independently to specialize in healthy, beautiful bearded dragons, featuring highly sought-after morphs like red monsters, chromas, and zeros. Their impressive collection extends far beyond dragons, offering an incredible array of pythons, including ball pythons, Burmese, northern and southern white lips, red and black short tails, carpet pythons, and super dwarf retics, alongside beautiful boas. They also work with exceptional monitors, breeding blue and green tree monitors, as well as stunning ice, coral, T+, and T- albino water monitors.

JZ’s Reptiles

Dedicated to exceptional genetics and species diversity, JZ's Reptiles is a premium local breeder offering an incredible variety of snakes. Their impressive collection features stunning locality and morph boas, Columbian Rainbow boas, and an array of pythons ranging from classic ball pythons to unique Angolan and Woma pythons. They are also highly regarded for their extensive work with eclectic colubrids, breeding striking North and Central American species like Mexican Black Kingsnakes, Black Milksnakes, and various pine snakes, alongside fascinating Old World favorites like rhino, Russian, and Japanese rat snakes. Always expanding their horizons, they have exciting upcoming breeding projects that include Mandarin rat snakes, Baird's rat snakes, Black Headed pythons, and Brazilian rainbow boas.

Snakes & Cakes

Where top-tier breeding meets culinary creativity! Snakes & Cakes is a truly unique member of the community, specializing in "food designer" morphs like the stunning Pumpkin Pie and Banana Split ball pythons. The fun does not stop at genetics; they also bake incredible, pun-filled pastries shaped like reptiles and amphibians. Alongside our favorite "Pistasatoad" (a pistachio-flavored toad cookie), the menu includes a banana-flavored "Banana Ball Python" cake, a slice of "Red Velvet Rainbow Boa," and a "Vanilla Blue-Eyed Lucy." They even whip up "Lychee Leachie" gecko cookies and grab-and-go snake and spider "bites," with more clever and delicious creations always hitting the menu.

Summit Serpents

Specializing in a wide variety of high-quality colubrids, Summit Serpents brings an incredible selection to the collective. While they have a particular focus on beautifully bred corn snakes (with a special love for Palmettos), their diverse breeding projects include Northern Mexican pine snakes (deppei jani), Northern pine snakes, and San Diego gopher snakes. They also work extensively with kingsnakes and milksnakes, offering Mexican black kingsnakes (including T+ albino), black and white California kingsnakes, Arizona mountain kingsnakes, Honduran milk snakes, and Cosala Sinaloan milk snakes. They also breed Old World species, including Yunnan mountain bamboo rat snakes and rhino rat snakes. Following the May 2026 regulation changes in Colorado, they now include Western hognose snakes in their lineup.

Trifecta.Systems

Operating behind the scenes, Trifecta.Systems is the digital and organizational backbone supporting the Beasties Collective. Run by Kellie, Trifecta helps our independent breeders and retail partners with a wide range of business needs, from organizational restructuring and hands-on management strategies to essential documentation. Alongside providing website development, cybersecurity, and database management, Kellie ensures operations run smoothly so our community can focus on what they do best: caring for their animals. For any new members joining the Collective, Trifecta.Systems is always ready to lend a hand with both digital infrastructure and business strategy. Kellie also shares her lifelong love for reptiles by helping out with the Beasties Facebook page, contributing photography, species research, and drafting community posts.
